A significant fire erupted on Saturday afternoon around 2pm in a saree warehouse situated at Cotton Street in Barabazar, creating panic in the vicinity.
The incident unfolded on the fifth floor of a multi-storey building, shrouding the area in thick black smoke, prompting a swift response from the fire brigade.
Five fire brigades reached the spot upon receiving the information and enentually fire was extinguished. Local budinessmen noticed the smoke and informed the fire department.
